Position Description

Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN – ProgressiveHealth of Indiana, LLC – Evansville, IN  

Are you an energetic and results-driven LPN looking to make a positive impact on workplace safety and health? Join our team and support our on-site occupational health and wellness services in a large manufacturing facility in Evansville, IN.  Standard shift is 5am-1pm or 6am-2 pm, Monday -Friday. No scheduled holiday’s or weekends.

What will you be doing in this role? 

  • Providing treatment as appropriate to employees for both work and non-work-related injuries or illnesses 
  • Support the emergency response team by leading meetings, conducting clinical education, and ensuring worker safety 
  • Manage disability and workers' compensation claims, ADA accommodation request, acting as a liaison between employees, HR, and healthcare providers 
  • Collaborate with early intervention specialists and conduct ergonomic assessments to minimize discomfort and injuries 
  • Lead or participate in wellness activities such as health fairs and blood pressure checks 
  • Keeping accurate, detailed documentation related to injury reports, treatment notes, and evaluations 
  • Conduct employee surveillance screenings 
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Our ideal candidate will have: 

  • Active LPN licensure or ability to obtain licensure 
  • CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s) 
  • Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations, preferred 
  • The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout entire assigned shift 
  • Previous occupational health experience is a plus  
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication 
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision 
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality 
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
