Key Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate care for patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
• Model de-escalation techniques and least restrictive interventions.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols.
• Communicate changes in patient status to providers.
• Build therapeutic rapport with patients using trauma-informed care principles.
• Lead during behavioral health emergencies.
• Complete accurate and timely admission and discharge processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• Required: Active RN license in the State of Indiana
• Preferred: BSN degree
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with 100 lbs; participate in CPI physical interventions
• Compliance: Must receive flu shot and TB test (exemption options available but not guaranteed)
